PayPal Invoice Has Already Been Paid error

Is PayPal rejecting renewals with an "invoice has already been paid" message?  Check your Profile / Payment Receiving Preferencesin PayPal for a "...allow multiple payments per invoice " setting.  Check this box to allow PayPal to accept subsequent renewal payments.
